|While shipping, it is very important to follow some guidelines to make sure it arrives safely.
While packing the box, we cannot express enough on how you pack it. Double and/or triple wrapping material such as bubble wrap to give maximum support, and please, do not use newspaper as the ink comes off onto the broken edges; making the repair more costly to remove it. Hopefully you have saved all the broken pieces no matter how small. Please include each of those broken pieces in your shipment and each piece should be wrapped in separate bags so as to prevent further damage or the possibility of them getting lost in the packing material. Place the pieces in a box with two inches of packing material such as foam peanuts between the wrapped pieces and the box. Then place that box inside a larger box with two more inches of packing material around it.
SUGGESTION; Whether your piece is of sentimental or financial value, we recommend you insure your package with the shipper and request a return receipt and/or tracking information. We do take before and after photos to add to our portfolio so to make sure it arrives the way you sent it (with no further damage from shipping) you might want to take a photo yourself prior to shipping. PreciousPieces does not take responsibility for those items being shipped that arrive in worse condition than originally shipped and the client will need to address the shipper for any claims thereof. We do not restore dinnerware for use and recommend you replace your damaged piece instead of having it restored.
For small items that are shipped in, a minimum of $15.00 packing, handling and return shipping fee is required.
Remember to include your name, return address, telephone number and email address (if available) so that once we have examined your piece, a written estimate can be given.
